Only at the age of 80 did this grandmother finally decide to renovate her old apartment, and the result is excellent

When asked to renovate her apartment, this grandmother always said she didn’t have much time left to live. Shortly after turning 50, she lost her husband.

Grandma may not have much time left, but for now, she is enjoying life. She goes for walks and shopping with her friends. For 15 years, we all tried to convince her to renovate, but she always said she wanted the house to remain as it was during her husband’s time. Finally, she agreed to the renovation.

First, we renovated the kitchen to make it bright and cozy, then we tidied up the bathroom. Next, we suggested agreeing to beautiful ceilings and at least laying fresh linoleum. We bought new furniture and changed the wallpaper she had once hung with her grandfather. After that, the walls were plastered and primed.

Following this, we had to remove all the trash from the apartment. We checked the wiring and moved the switches to a suitable location.

We applied the main putty first, then the finishing putty, and applied the base. We also replaced the radiators. In the end, everything went as planned.

Once the walls were dry, we sanded them, then painted the ceiling and decorated it with baseboards. We chose vinyl wallpaper with non-woven backing. To achieve a modern result, one wall was decorated with patterns, while the others were solid.

And here comes the fun part! Grandma decided to leave the old furniture in memory of her grandfather in the house, but it’s good that she accepted a new sofa! Now, of course, Grandma is feeling better.
